We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a cross-functional product team focused on building a data platform for banking, credit scoring, and analytics use cases. You’ll work on extracting, transforming, and delivering high-quality financial data to support scoring models, customer segmentation, and cohort analysis.

🚀 What You’ll Work On

  • Design and build cloud-native data pipelines for batch and structured file ingestion (e.g., core banking data, SFTP, APIs)

  • Model and transform data for use in credit decisioning, profitability analysis, and product reporting

  • Collaborate with analysts and product managers to translate business rules into reusable data workflows

  • Optimize performance, quality, and cost of pipelines across cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

  • Ensure data governance, security, and compliance (PCI-DSS, SOC 2) in financial environments.

The candidate should have:

  • Strong experience with file-based data ingestion and transformation (e.g., SFTP/CSV-based pipelines, banking extracts)

  • Experience working with or supporting financial or banking data workflows, especially in scoring, transactions, or customer behavior

  • Proficiency with Python, SQL, and orchestration tools such as Airflow, Spark, or NiFi

  • Hands-on work with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake) and data lake storage

  • Experience collaborating in Agile, product-oriented teams

  • Bonus: Exposure to LLM/AI-powered workflows or annotation pipelines.

🟢 Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years in data engineering roles focused on ETL/ELT pipelines

  • Strong Python and SQL programming skills

  • Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)

  • Hands-on with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, NiFi, or similar)

  • Familiarity with financial data handling and core analytics needs (e.g., scoring, segmentation)

  • Excellent communication in Agile teams

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in banking or fintech domains (credit data, transactions, payment systems)

  • Familiarity with data observability, test automation, and documentation practices

  • Exposure to AI/LLM-based projects is a plus but not required

  • Ability to support multi-tenant SaaS platforms or data productization
