Resource Manager
We are looking for a Resource Manager who will serve as a strategic bridge between the in-house development team, Head of Delivery, and HR department. This role ensures optimal allocation of internal and external IT talent, maintains a dynamic database of pre-vetted contractors, and supports delivery excellence through proactive resource planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Head of Delivery and Sales to understand current and upcoming project needs.
- Match available engineers, QA, DevOps, and other specialists to open projects based on skill set, experience, and availability.
- Maintain visibility into ongoing assignments, project timelines, and future capacity.
- Balance workloads between in-house and contract consultants to ensure optimal utilization.
- Manage and continuously update the internal database of pre-vetted IT consultants (bench talent pool) and partner network.
- Monitor consultant availability and proactively propose them for new opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Recruitment and HR teams to fill skill gaps and plan hiring or contracting needs.
- Ensure all consultant profiles are up-to-date with verified experience, rates, and availability.
- Forecast future resource demand based on pipeline and active projects.
- Prepare regular reports on utilization, bench status, and capacity planning.
- Provide insights and recommendations for improving resource allocation efficiency.
- Work closely with HR to coordinate onboarding/offboarding, contract renewals, and internal mobility.
- Support Delivery Managers and Sales with real-time staffing updates and problem-solving for resource constraints.
Key Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in Resource Management, Workforce Planning, or Project Coordination in an IT company.
- Strong understanding of IT roles, technologies, and delivery models (outsourcing, outstaffing, product).
- Experience working with both internal teams and external contractors.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
- Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets and resource management tools (e.g., Jira, HRM, ATS)
- Ability to balance priorities and make data-driven staffing decisions.
- Understanding of basic financial concepts (billable vs. non-billable time, utilization, rates).
