Access manager
Global-e is a well-funded startup company, run by a senior and experienced founding team, offering a revolutionary solution for e-commerce websites.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Access Management Specialist to support access control processes across the organization. In this role, your main mission will be to ensure a fast, seamless, and well-organized transition to our new access management system, while supporting day-to-day operations. This position is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, structured thinking, and a keen interest in IT operations and change management.
What You Will Do:
Transition Planning: Plan and map out the stages of the transition to the new access system, defining priorities and timelines.
Stakeholder Communication: Proactively collaborate with department and team leads to identify the current security and access needs of their teams.
Change Management: Organize and lead meetings to introduce new access policies, ensuring smooth adoption and clarifying new security standards across the company.
Access Coordination: Handle day-to-day user access requests, maintain documentation, and ensure timely and accurate execution of access-related tasks.
Process Optimization: Monitor the efficiency of the system migration and proactively resolve any bottlenecks to ensure uninterrupted team operations.
A Typical Day Might Look Like:
Morning: Reviewing the current status of the system transition, checking project deadlines, and prioritizing the daily queue of incoming access requests.
Mid-day: Conducting sync-ups with team leads to gather feedback on new security policies, discuss department-specific needs, and align on access workflows.
Afternoon: Working on the rollout plan for the next migration phase, updating process documentation in Confluence or Jira, and preparing materials for upcoming policy presentations.
End of Day: Summarizing completed tasks, reviewing access audit logs, and coordinating with the core IT team regarding the technical setup of access rights.
Requirements:
Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
Basic knowledge of project management (tasks, timelines, stakeholders)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Forms)
Upper- intermediate English level – written and spoken
Nice to Have:
Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Monday.com, or Asana
Familiarity with IT systems and applications
Background in documentation, process mapping, or business analysis
